(新明能源有限公司) signed a lease agreement for solar photovoltaic equipment that will generate 1.5 megawatts of power. This deal makes NCNU the first project site in the government's green energy roof project to challenge the 1-megawatt benchmark, and cements NCNU as a green university and a development center for sustainable energy.

Summary:The torch of the 2021 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games (NIAG) arrived at National Chi Nan University (NCNU) on May 5 as part of a 1,168-kilometer marathon around the island to bring the NIAG flame and spirit to all 30 participating universities. The lively torch-bearing ceremony reflected both NCNU's athletic ambitions and the NIAG motto of "bravery, motivation, passion." After making a ceremonial lap around the spacious campus, the delegation was greeted by a beautiful remix of traditional Indonesian music in a live rendition of "KUFFY~Gamelan!" —  a brand-new anthem composed by NCNU's Gamelan ensemble and dedicated to the intercollegiate games.

Utilizing their different backgrounds and experiences, these entrepreneurial students successfully applied for the MOE's "U-start Plan for Innovation and Entrepreneurship," receiving NT$1.1 million seed fund in two parts: NT$500,000 in 2020, and NT$600,000 in 2021.

Summary:National Chi Nan University's USR Hub has developed a tidy new caffeinated drink by upcycling the flesh of the coffee fruit, which was previously discarded as industrial waste. This byproduct of the coffee sector's bean-focused manufacturing can, in fact, be used to make a fragrant and stimulating beverage. Known in Spanish as Cascara, meaning "skin" or "membrane," coffee cherry tea is made by brewing sun-dried coffee peels — whole berry husks that puff up like little cherries upon re-encountering water.
